Thermotechnical applications

Pyrogel line aerogel blankets are mainly used in thermal insulation coating applications for water, vapour and gas transportation pipelines: they provide a proper insulation to all substances which require a stable temperature along the route.
This aerogel material is quickly and easily installed by wrapping it onto piping and equipments, applied in one or several layers as needed, and then fixed by gluing points or mechanically by metal clamps depending both on tubing type and project operating temperatures.
The final coating commonly consists of insulation pipe covers made of various materials or plastic sheaths suitable for the purpose and the required temperatures. Areas affected by the presence of pipe fittings and angles are covered by cutting the material according to their radius or shape.

The use of Pyrogel optimizes both space and resources in the planning stages as well as during construction phase itself and its own unique versatility makes it suitable for specific applications where it is necessary to contain heat loss.
